The “Open Psychedelics” Definition
Being a staunch promoter of freedom, free software, the GNU and Open Licensing, in order to ensure free and open exchange of psychedelic information, I propose the Open Psychedelics Definition as follows:

By following the principles of open-source software and the Free Software Foundation’s freedoms, Open Psychedelics seeks to create a more informed, supportive, and inclusive community around psychedelics and their potential benefits.

Just as open-source software is freely available to anyone who wants to use it, Open Psychedelics aims to promote freedom of information and access to information about psychedelics and related research.

Psychedelic Organization Compliance
Furthremore, in order to be able to use “Open Psychedelics” as a stricker, any organization establishing themselves as a Psychedelic company or group, must adhere to the following tenets. (Organization is any party, person, or entity able to engage in psychedelic discourse).
- The organization is dedicated to promoting and defending the principles of freedom of information, open access, and open experimentation with psychedelics, consistent with the principles of the Open Source Definition, the Free Software Foundation, and the GNU.
- The organization shall provide accurate and honest information about psychedelics and related research, and shall strive to dispel any false or misleading information in circulation.
- The organization shall adhere to strict ethical standards in all aspects of research and psychotherapy practices involving psychedelics, including informed consent, confidentiality, and respect for individual autonomy.
- The organization shall provide high-quality articles, resources, and information about psychedelics and related research, freely accessible to all individuals.
- The organization shall actively work towards the legalization of psychedelics and the removal of all existing legal barriers to their use and research, and shall advocate for responsible and regulated access to psychedelics.
- The organization shall make all of its resources and materials available under creative commons or similar licenses, promoting the principles of open-source and open access.
